Our services

Pediatric Dentistry

Friendly, patient dental care for children of every age. We make first visits fun, prevent cavities with fluoride and sealants, and treat problems gently so your child grows up unafraid of the dentist.

Overview

Children are not small adults. Their teeth, behaviour and needs are different, and so is the way we care for them. Our pediatric dental visits are unhurried, playful and built on trust, so even nervous children learn that the dentist is a safe place.

Services include first dental visits from age one, checkups and gentle cleaning, fluoride varnish, fissure sealants, tooth-coloured fillings, pulp treatment for baby teeth, space maintainers, habit counselling and early orthodontic assessment.

Parents are welcome in the treatment room, and we take time to explain how to brush, what to eat and how to prevent decay at home.

Frequently asked questions

When should my child first see a dentist?
By their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth appearing. Early visits are quick and positive, and they help us prevent problems before they start.
Do baby teeth really need fillings?
Yes. Baby teeth hold space for adult teeth and are essential for chewing and speech. Untreated decay can cause pain, infection and damage to the permanent tooth developing underneath.
How do you handle a child who is scared?
We go at your child's pace, explain everything in simple words, use show-tell-do techniques and never force treatment. Many anxious children become our most relaxed patients after a couple of visits.
What are fissure sealants?
Sealants are a thin protective coating painted onto the grooves of back teeth. They stop food and bacteria collecting in the grooves and dramatically reduce the risk of cavities.
